Community is returning to Netflix UK this April, with all six seasons set to stream.
Created by Dan Harmon, Community is the story of a dysfunctional study group at a community college. When lawyer Jeffrey Winger (Joel McHale – Ted) finds his degree has been revoked, he is forced to go back to school at Greendale Community College. Hoping to score points with the pretty coed Britta (Gillian Jacobs – Love, Girls), Jeffrey invents a study group and invites her to join it. Imagine his surprise when she’s not the only one who shows up for help with Spanish –there’s pop-culture nerd Abed (Danny Pudi – Star Trek Beyond), his best buddy Troy (Donald Glover – Solo, Atlanta), over-achiever Annie (Alison Brie – Glow, The Disaster Artist), sweet yet rage-filled Shirley (Yvette Nicole Brown – Chuck, Repo Men) and the incomparable Pierce (Chevy Chase – SNL, National Lampoon’s Vacation). Will this ragtag bunch of students ever learn anything academic? Or will they learn more about themselves?
With Jim Rash, Ken Jeong and John Oliver, Community has become a modern classic of surrealism, pop-culture parodies and ludicrous plotlines. Indeed, such was the following that when NBC cancelled the comedy after Season 5, demand from fans online prompted the show to be revived for a sixth run, with Yahoo’s failed streaming platform being its home. Since then, the show has been available to binge on Netflix, jumped to Amazon Prime, then was snapped up last summer by All 4 as a box set.
Now, the hot property (which is still available on All 4 and included with Amazon Prime at the time of writing) is headed back to Netflix once more, with all 110 episodes to land on 1st April – or, to put it in Community terms, 32nd March.
