Community will be available to stream online exclusively in the UK on All 4 this summer.
Al six seasons of the cult US comedy have been snapped up by the UK broadcaster for its on-demand service, bringing 110 episodes of Dan Harmon’s series to the platform, both for streaming and for downloading to view offline.
Community is the story of a dysfunctional study group at a community college – when lawyer Jeffrey Winger (Joel McHale – Ted) finds his degree has been revoked, he is forced to go back to school at Greendale Community College. Hoping to score points with the pretty coed Britta (Gillian Jacobs – Love, Girls), Jeffrey invents a study group and invites her to join it. Imagine his surprise when she’s not the only one who shows up for help with Spanish –there’s pop-culture nerd Abed (Danny Pudi – Star Trek Beyond), his best buddy Troy (Donald Glover – Solo, Atlanta), over-achiever Annie (Alison Brie – Glow, The Disaster Artist), sweet yet rage-filled Shirley (Yvette Nicole Brown – Chuck, Repo Men) and the incomparable Pierce (Chevy Chase – SNL, National Lampoon’s Vacation). Will this ragtag bunch of students ever learn anything academic? Or will they learn more about themselves?
With Jim Rash, Ken Jeong and John Oliver, Community has become a modern classic of surrealism, pop-culture parodies and ludicrous plotlines.
Charlie Palmer, Managing Editor for All 4, says: “Community is a word-of-mouth gem with a fan-base that truly adores the show. We’re thrilled to be giving everyone a chance to discover it on All 4, for free, this summer.”
The box set joins other exclusive US comedy box sets available on All 4, including Let’s Get Physical, Mr Student Body President and both seasons of the critically-acclaimed Search Party, the first two episodes of which will broadcast on E4 this August. The first few season will be live from Monday 23rd July, with the remaining episodes following in August.
