Netflix has announced the release dates for its latest batch of 2015 original shows and films.
From the confirmed return of Orange Is the New Black and a documentary about Nina Simone to the reunion of Wet Hot American Summer’s cast, the projects set out a packed streaming schedule for June – if you were planning to go outside this summer, think again.
To make sure you don’t miss any of Netflix’s biggest releases this year, here is the rundown of the service’s original releases that are released in 2015 – bookmark this one, because we’ll be updating it with every new release date and trailer announced.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
Release date: Friday 6th March
From creators Tina Fey and Robert Carlock, the half-hour single-camera comedy series stars Ellie Kemper as Kimmy, who escapes a doomsday cult and decides to reclaim her life and start over in New York City. Armed with just a backpack, light-up sneakers, and a couple of way-past-due library books, Kimmy’s ready to take on a world she didnt even think existed anymore.
The 13-episode series, produced by Universal Television, also stars Jane Krakowski, Tituss Burgess, Carol Kane and more.
Bloodline
Release date: Friday 20th March
When the eldest brother and black sheep of the Rayburn family returns home, he exposes the emotional demons that lie at the core of the family, threatening to tear them apart.
With a stellar cast headlined by Kyle Chandler, Ben Mendelsohn, Linda Cardellini, Norbert Leo Butz, Jacinda Barrett, Jamie McShane, Enrique Murciano, Sissy Spacek, and Sam Shepard, the 13-episode series is from executive producers Todd A. Kessler, Daniel Zelman and Glenn Kessler (Damages), and produced by Sony Pictures Television.
Marvel’s Daredevil
Release date: Friday 10th April
Blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) fights against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the Super Hero Daredevil in modern day Hell’s Kitchen, New York City.
Chris D’Elia: Incorrigible
Release date: Friday 17th April
The latest show to join Netflix’s line-up of stand-up comedy.
Grace and Frankie
Release date: Friday 8th May
In this irreverent and touching series, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin star as Grace and Frankie, a pair of frenemies whose lives are turned upside down – and permanently intertwined – when their husbands leave them for each other. Together, they must face starting over in their 70s in a 21st century world.
The series also stars Martin Sheen, Sam Waterston, Brooklyn Decker, Ethan Embry, June Diane Raphael and Baron Vaughn. Created by Marta Kauffman (Friends) and Howard J. Morris (Home Improvement), the 13-episode series is produced by Skydance Productions and executive producers Kauffman, Morris, Fonda, Tomlin, Paula Weinstein, David Ellison, David Goldberg and Marcy Ross.

Release date: Thursday 21st May
The survival thriller, which stars Jenette McCurdy, is a Canadian production. Created by writer/director Michael McGowan, it follows a town under siege from a mysterious disease that has wiped out everybody except those 21 years old and under.
The series explores the power vacuum that results when a government has quarantined a 10-mile diameter area and left the inhabitants to fend for themselves.
Jen Kirkman: I’m Gonna Die Alone (And I Feel Fine)

One gunshot, one death, one moment out of time irrevocably links eight minds in disparate parts of the world, putting them in each other’s lives, each other’s secrets, and in terrible danger. After Jupiter Ascending and Cloud Atlas, The Wachowskis’ sci-fi series promises to be something spectacular. And not just because they have live births included in it. Yes, really.
Orange Is the New Black Season 3

Taylor Schilling and Laura Prepon return as Piper Chapman and her drug-smuggling ex, Alex, continue their stint behind bars in Jenji Kohan’s comedy drama.
What Happened, Miss Simone?
Release date: Friday 26th June
Liz Garbus’ latest documentary looks at Nina Simone on and off stage, interweaving the singer’s most memorable numbers with never-before-heard audio tapes, recorded over the course of three decades, of Nina telling her life story to various interviewers and would-be biographers.
Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp
Release date: Friday 17th July
Did you know that Elizabeth Banks, Bradley Cooper, Paul Rudd and Amy Poehler all appeared in the same movie together?
David Wain’s comedy movie about the final days of a summer camp, as the season winds down and the counsellors working there hope for a last stab at a holiday romance, has become something of a cult hit since its 2001 release.
Now, the cast will reunite for an eight-episode mini-series, set six months to a year earlier than when the movie originally was… except the actors playing the characters are 10 years older.
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: The Green Legend
Release date: Thursday 27th August
Netflix’s first fictional film, subtitled “The Green Legend”, is set to hit IMAX theatres on the same day it will be available for streaming. The sequel will see Michelle Yeoh reprise her role from the first film as Yu Shu-Lien, with Donnie Yen playing new character Silent Wolf. While Ang Lee has not been involved in the production, it will be directed by legendary choreographer Yuen Wo-Ping, who became known to Western audiences through his work on The Matrix.
Netflix says the store is “one of lost love, young love, a legendary sword and one last opportunity at redemption, set against breathtaking action in an epic martial arts battle between good and evil that will decide the fate of the Martial World”.
