Comic-Con: Vikings Season 4 trailer sails onto YouTube

The trailer for Season 4 of Vikings has sailed onto YouTube, following its premiere at Comic-Con.
The History Channel’s drama was snapped up by Amazon as one of its flagship exclusives in the UK, with the first season originally heading to British shores back when Amazon Prime was known as LOVEFiLM Instant. Since then, the series has built an increasingly large audience of British fans, with the programme’s growing ensemble cast and rising budget (not to mention its violent scale) expanding at a similar rate.
The trailer for Season 4 arrives weeks after the finale of a mixed Season 3. The new run will see Travis Fimmel reprise his role as Ragnar Lothbrok, joined by Clive Standen as Rollo, Gustaf Skarsgard as Floki, Alexander Ludwig as Bjorn and Katheryn Winnick as Lagertha.
“One generation passes away. And another generation comes,” says a menacing voice over, followed by the caption “War never ends”. Creator Michael Hirst, speaking at Comic-Con, was more light-hearted, quipping that Vikings is “the only TV show with four dead languages”.
