Apple TV has inked an overall deal with Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
Louis-Dreyfus, who first made her mark on Saturday Night Live, has become a mainstay of US TV comedy, recently completing a seven-season run starring in HBO’s Veep.
The star and executive producer has been on screens long before then, though, with Emmy-winning turns in Seinfeld and The New Adventures of Old Christine to boot. Over her career she has racked up 11 Emmy wins out of 24 nominations, with 6 of those for Veep, plus 9 SAG Awards.
Now, she’s signed her first overall deal, inking a multi-year agreement with Apple’s new subscription streaming service. The deal will see her develop new projects exclusively for Apple TV, both as an executive producer and star.
“I am thrilled about this new partnership with my friends at Apple,” Louis-Dreyfus said in a statement. “Also, many thanks and kudos to my representatives for structuring the deal in such a way that I am paid in AirPods.”
