Amazon cancels Sneaky Pete

Amazon has cancelled Sneaky Peter after three seasons.
The drama, a co-production with Sony Pictures Television Studios, is co-created by Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) and David Shore (The Good Doctor), and stars Giovanni Ribisi as Marius, a con man who left prison only to find himself hunted by the vicious gangster he once robbed. With nowhere else to turn, he took cover from his past by assuming the identity of his cellmate Pete and “reuniting” with Pete’s estranged family.
The show started out as a pilot at CBS, but moved to Amazon after it wasn’t picked up to series.
“Sneaky Pete looks to have truly found its feet,” we wrote in our glowing review of Season 2, which aired last year. Now, within a month of its third season arriving on Amazon Prime Video, Deadline reports that Amazon has passed on renewing it for a fourth.
The news arrives after Blake Masters joined the series as new executive producer/showrunner for Season 3, as executive producers Graham Yost, Fred Golan and Michael Dinner exited. Cast members included Margo Martindale, Marin Ireland, Peter Gerety, Libe Barer and Shane McRae.
