Trailer: Amanda Seyfried stars in Netflix’s Things Heard & Seen

“I think I’ve found the perfect house for us…” That’s the sound of an unwitting couple entering spooky territory in Things Heard & Seen.
Amanda Seyfried and James Norton star in the film, which follows a Manhattan couple who move to a historic hamlet in the Hudson Valley and come to discover that their marriage has a sinister darkness, one that rivals their new home’s history.
Based on the acclaimed novel by Elizabeth Brundage, the film co-stars Natalie Dyer (Stranger Things), Rhea Seehorn (Better Call Saul), Alex Neustaedter (Colony) and F Murray Abraham and is written by Robert Pulcini and Shari Springer Berman (American Splendor, The Extra Man).
The film premieres on Netflix on 29th April. Here’s the trailer:

James Norton joins Netflix’s Things Heard & Seen

James Norton has joined Amanda Seyfried in Netflix’s Things Heard & Seen.
Based on the book All Things Cease to Appear by Elizabeth Brundage, the project is adapted for the screen by Academy Award mominees Robert Pulcini and Shari Springer Berman (American Splendor, The Extra Man).
Seyfried and Norton (Happy Valley, Grantchester, McMafia) lead a cast that in includes Natalie Dyer (Stranger Things), Rhea Seehorn (Better Call Saul, VEEP), Alex Neustaedter (Colony, AXL) and F. Murray Abraham (Lady and the Tramp, The Grand Budapest Hotel).
It follows a Manhattan couple, who move to a historic hamlet in the Hudson Valley and come to discover that their marriage has a sinister darkness, one that rivals their new home’s history.
Likely Story’s Anthony Bregman, Stefanie Azpiazu and Peter Cron will produce with Julie Cohen, with principal photography starting on Friday in Hudson Valley, New York.
Amanda Seyfried in talks for Netflix’s Things Heard & Seen

Amanda Seyfried is in talks to star in Netflix’s new supernatural thriller Things Heard & Seen.
Based on the book All Things Cease to Appear by Elizabeth Brundage, the story follows a young couple who move to a farm in upstate New York. Their new home is cursed by the murder of its former owners and as more haunted secrets are unveiled, a darkness also emerges at the heart of the couple’s marriage.
Seyfried, presuming negotiations conclude successfully, will play the wife who struggles to adjust to small-town farm life, and starts to suspect their new home is haunted.
The project is adapted for the screen by Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini, the Oscar-nominated duo who worked on American Splendor. They will also direct.
It is produced by Anthony Bregman, who recently wrapped on In the Heights, alongside Stefanie Azpiazu, Peter Cron and Julie Cohen.
Production is expected to get under way this autumn.
