50 States of Fright returns to Quibi this September

50 States of Fright will officially return to Quibi for Season 2 this September.
Produced by Sam Raimi, the anthology series tells horror stories based on urban legends and folktales.
Season 1 featured stories from Kansas, Michigan, Oregon, Minnesota and Florida, aiming to explore the horrors that lurk beneath the surface of the USA. Season 2 will feature stories from Iowa, Colorado, Missouri and Washington.
The first story will follow an engineer trying to fix a turbine in the middle of Iowa, while she is haunted by the ghost of her mother. It stars Taissa Farmiga, Ron Livingston and Katie Stuart.
The second story will see a sister descends a strange underground stairwell next to an overgrown Washington cemetery to retrieve her little brother’s lost toy. It stars Rory Culkin and Lulu Wilson.
The third story will follow a group of influencers descend on Colorado’s most haunted hotel, starring Christina Ricci, Jacob Batalon, Victoria Justice and Colin Ford.
And the final story will follow a young girl moving with her family to a new town in rural Missouri, where she makes a new friend of a very old and angry soul. It stars Erica Tremblay and Elizabeth Reaser.
Season 2 will premiere on 28th September. Here’s a trailer for Season 1 to give you a taste of the show’s tone:

Rachel Brosnahan and Christina Ricci will star in 50 States of Fright, a new horror anthology for Quibi.
Produced by Sam Raimi, the series will tell stories based on urban legends and folktales. Season 1 will feature stories from Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Oregon and Washington, aiming to explore the horrors that lurk beneath the surface of the USA.
The cast isn’t being buried out of sight, though, with an impressive ensemble led by The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel‘s Brosnahan and Ricci, as well as Vikings star Travis Fimmel. They are joined by Jacob Batalon, Ming-Na Wen, Taissa Farmiga, Asa Butterfield, John Marshall Jones and Ron Livingston.
The series is produced by Gunpowder & Sky’s Alter, along with DIGA Studios and Pod 3.
