You can now download 24: Live Another Day in the UK.
Season 9 of TV’s longest-running action series kept its real-time shenanigans going for one more day, albeit for a shorter run of 12 episodes.
Relocating to London, Live Another Day saw everyone’s favourite angry secret agent, Jack Bauer, hop around the UK capital, shooting terrorists on the Central Line and chasing through the East End.
Kiefer Sutherland was joined by returning cast member Mary Lynn Rajskub as computer guru Chloe O’Brian, alongside Stephen Fry as the British Prime Minister and Game of Thrones’ Judy Davis as British terrorist Margot.
The season came to a typically explosive end on Wednesday 16th July, prompting Fox to release it immediately on digital download. It follows Game of Thrones in being made available on VOD as soon as possible after its initial TV premiere – a step that HBO took in an attempt to combat piracy, which has sprung up around the show because of the delay in its post-broadcast DVD release. While 24 fans will not be waiting as long as Game of Thrones, Live Another Day will not hit physical home entertainment until Monday 6th October.
For those who need a Jack Bauer fix before then, damnit, you can download it now on all major pay-per-view platforms.
