See: How many episodes? When is the next episode? Is there a Season 2?
David Farnor | On 03, Nov 2019
This weekend marks the launch of Apple TV+, Apple’s new subscription streaming platform.
One of its highest profile titles is See, an epic drama starring Jason Momoa and Alfre Woodard. Created by Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders), the sci-fi series is set 600 years in the future after a virus has decimated humankind and rendered the remaining population blind. When Jason Momoa decides to raise two children born with the ability to see, then, it’s not long until trouble comes calling. (Read our review here.)
Fans hoping to binge through the box set, though, may be slightly confused by why only three episodes are available at launch. The good news? There are more episodes to come. The bad news? You’ll have to wait a bit for them.
How many episodes are there?
See has eight episodes in its first season.
When is the next episode released?
Episodes 1 to 3 were all released at once when Apple TV+ launched to give viewers a taste of the drama. The next episodes will be released weekly on Fridays, one at a time:
Episode 4
8th November
Episode 5
15th November
Episode 6
22nd November
Episode 7
29th November
Episode 8
6th December
Why aren’t all episodes released at once?
As un untested, brand new platform trying to compete with Netflix – and with fewer TV shows and movies to choose from – Apple will be hoping that the steady drumbeat of weekly releases will encourage conversation and buzz to keep going for months, rather than fizzle out in a single weekend after everyone has binged through its box sets.
Why are some episodes available for free?
Even if you do not have an Apple TV+ subscription, Apple is releasing several episodes of its original shows for free – but only to people with the Apple TV app.
The first two episodes of See, The Morning Show, For All Mankind and Dickinson are now available to watch for three through Apple TV as a taster to get you hooked. To watch Episode 3 onwards, you will need to subscribe.
Will there be a Season 2?
Yes, See has been renewed for a second season.
