As one of the smaller streaming platforms in the UK, STARZPLAY sometimes struggles when it comes to having a large enough library to compete with Netflix or Amazon Prime Video. 2021 has seen it stand out through the exclusive release of Stephen King’s The Stand and the second season of Pennyworth – and now, weekly episodes of Power Book III: Raising Kanan and Blindspotting. This month sees the debut of new exclusive series Heels, plus a wave of Lionsgate films from period drama to modern action.
This August STARZPLAY steps into the ring when the hotly anticipated original drama series ‘Heels’ premieres on 15 August. Transporting you to the competitive world of small-town pro wrestling the action packed series, starring Stephen Amell (‘Arrow’, ‘DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’) and Alexander Ludwig (‘Vikings’, Bad Boys for Life) as rivalling brothers, explores a family dynamic that you wouldn’t want to get in the middle of.
Speaking of dysfunctional families, season one of the raw and hilarious ‘Blindspotting’ comes to a climactic finish on 8 August. Catch up on all the episodes so far on STARZPLAY, and get ready for what is set to be a chaotic and memorable end to this unique dramedy.
