Netflix is beginning 2024 in style with the debut of JA Bayona’s Oscar contender Society of the Snow, a Michelle Yeoh thriller, a star-studded heist flick and opportunities from Dan Levy and Daniel Kaluuya as they each step behind the camera. Plus there’s a Harlan Coben mystery for New Year’s Day bingeing.

Fool Me Once: Season 1 – 1st January

Mystery King Harlan Coben is back with a provocative crime thriller starring Michelle Keegan, Adeel Akhtar, Joanna Lumley and Richard Armitage.

The Brothers Sun: Season 1 – 4th January

When the head of a powerful Taiwanese triad is shot by a mysterious assassin, his eldest son, Charles (Justin Chien) heads to Los Angeles to protect his mother, Eileen (Michelle Yeoh), and his naive younger brother, Bruce (Sam Song Li) — who’s been completely sheltered from the truth of his family until now. But as Taipei’s deadliest societies and a new rising faction go head-to-head for dominance — Charles and Bruce must figure out what brotherhood and family truly means before someone takes them out.

Society of the Snow – 4th January

On October 13 1972, Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571 crashed in the Andes. Only 29 of the 45 passengers survived the crash. Director Juan Antonio Bayona tells this remarkable true story.

Good Grief – 5th January

Marc (Dan Levy) was content living in the shadow of his larger-than-life husband, Oliver (Luke Evans). But when Oliver unexpectedly dies, Marc’s world shatters, sending him and his two best friends, Sophie (Ruth Negga) and Thomas (Himesh Patel), on a soul-searching trip to Paris that reveals some hard truths they each needed to face. Good Grief marks Levy’s debut as a feature-film writer and director.

Break Point: Season 2 – 10th January

Lift – 12th January

An international heist crew, led by Cyrus Whitaker (Kevin Hart), race to lift $500 million in gold from a passenger plane at 40,000 feet. Directed by F. Gary Gray and starring Kevin Hart, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Vincent D’Onofrio, Úrsula Corberó, Billy Magnussen, Viveik Kalra, Yun Jee Kim, and Sam Worthington.

Red Rocket – 13th January

The Bequeathed: Season 1 – 19th January

Upon the bequeathing of the family burial ground, Ominous events begin to unfold. Created and written by Yeon Sang-ho of Hellbound and Train to Busan.

The Kitchen – 19th January
