Alley Cats: Season 1 – 7th August

Alley Cats is an adult comedy animation series from the mind of Ricky Gervais. It follows a gang of foul-mouthed feral cats who cause havoc while musing on the meaning of life and fighting for survival in a brutal human world.

The Last House – 7th August

From director Louis Leterrier, starring Greta Lee and Wagner Moura. A family of four are suddenly sealed inside their home with no way out, and must work together to survive against both their dwindling resources and the mysterious, looming threat that is keeping them trapped.

Mourinho: Season 1 – 11th August

This trophy-packed, insider-fuelled documentary charts José Mourinho’s iconic rise as one of the world’s top footballing managers of the most elite clubs.

Practical Magic – 11th August

Sally (Sandra Bullock) and Gillian Owens (Nicole Kidman), born into a magical family, have mostly avoided witchcraft themselves. But when Gillian’s vicious boyfriend, Jimmy Angelov (Goran Visnjic), dies unexpectedly, the Owens sisters give themselves a crash course in hard magic.

My Brilliant Career: Season 1 – 13th August

Philippa Northeast stars as Sybylla, a fiercely modern young woman with one burning ambition: to be a writer, even as her family pushes her toward marriage. In this new series adaptation of the classic Australian novel, Sybylla breaks every convention of 1900 Australia as she chases a story that could write her way to independence, until she falls in love. Don’t Say Good Luck – 14th August

In this coming-of-age dramedy, Sophie Birenbaum (Sunny Sandler) is ready for the spotlight as the lead in her high school musical—until suddenly she’s living with even more drama at home than on the stage. Melanie Lynskey and Max Greenfield also star.

Love Is Blind: UK: Season 3 – 19th August

The global dating experiment will return to the United Kingdom for Season 3 this summer following a new set of soulmate-seeking singles who want to be loved for who they are rather than what they look like. Hosts Matt and Emma Willis will once again guide the incoming pod squad through an unconventional journey to find a forever partner – without laying eyes on each other.

The Wild Robot – 20th August

This vivid animated tale about a robot learning to raise an animal is a gorgeous and profound tale of kindness and connection.

H Is for Hawk – 23rd August

When Helen’s beloved father passes away, she is knocked sideways by grief and loses herself in memories of their time birding and exploring the natural world together. She becomes obsessed with the idea of training her own goshawk, and so she brings the fearsome bird Mabel home to her life as a graduate fellow at Cambridge. Helen fills the freezer with hawk food and turns off her phone, ready to embark on the long, strange business of trying to train this wildest of animals. But as she labours to tame Mabel, a grieving Helen undergoes an untaming of her own.

The Secret Woman – 28th August

After discovering she has a family and a shipping empire, a woman with amnesia returns to a wealthy and seemingly perfect past to uncover why she left. Starring Natalie Madueño, Claes Bang, Pål Sverre Hagen, Stina Ekblad, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal and Lars Simonsen.

The Whisper Man – 28th August

Based on the New York Times bestselling novel by Alex North. When his eight-year-old son is abducted, a widowed crime writer looks to his estranged father, a retired former police detective, for help, only to discover a connection with the decades-old case of a convicted serial killer known as “The Whisper Man.”
