David Farnor | On 05, Oct 2023
Netflix is getting into the October season with a brace of spooky new offerings, including Mike Flanagan’s The Fall of the House of Usher, a prequel to its hit horror flick Veronica and slasher comedy The Conference. But there’s more than just scares on the cards this month, whether you’re looking for a steamy thriller, some Spidey web-slinging, an uplifting musical, another dose of Big Mouth or a time-bending crime mystery.
Here’s what’s coming soon to Netflix UK in October 2023:

Beckham: Season 1 – 4th October

It will feature a mixture of never-before-seen personal archive footage from the last forty years and interviews with David Beckham, his family and friends, and key figures who have been part of his journey both on and off the pitch.
Lupin: Season 3 – 5th October
Season 3 picks up with Assane in hiding. With the suffering his family have to endure because of him, he can’t stand it any longer and decides to return to Paris to make them a crazy proposal: leave France and start a new life elsewhere. But the ghosts of the past are never far away, and his plans are soon turned upside down.
Fair Play – 6th October
Starring Phoebe Dynevor (Bridgeton), Alden Ehrenreich (Solo: A Star Wars Story, Hail Caesar!) and Eddie Marsan (Happy-Go-Lucky), the film follows a young couple whose relationship is pushed to the brink by unexpected promotion at a cutthroat hedge fund, threatening to unravel far more than their recent engagement.

Jon M Chu and Lin-Manuel Miranda’s celebration of dreams and community is a joyous musical spectacle.
The Fall of the House of Usher: Season 1 – 12th October
Mike Flanagan’s eight-episode drama is a modern remix of some of the most iconic works of Edgar Allan Poe, including the titular story. Bruce Greenwood stars as patriarch Roderick Usher, the CEO of a corrupt pharmaceutical company, who must face his shady past when each of his children begin to die in mysterious and brutal ways.
The Conference – 13th October
