Amazon is getting suitably dark this January, with the return of The Rig for winter evening thrills. But there are laughs on offer too, with the debut of star-studded wedding comedy You’re Cordially Invited.

Here’s what’s coming soon to Amazon Prime Video UK in January 2025:

The Rig: Season 2 – 2nd January

Something is bubbling underneath the surface, and it isn’t happy… This supernatural thriller follows a group of workers on a remote oil rig who are due to return to the mainland when an eerie fog descends, and a mysterious force begins to take hold. Iain Glen (Game of Thrones, Mrs Wilson) plays Magnus MacMillan, Offshore Installation Manager of the rig and leader of the crew, Emily Hampshire (Schitt’s Creek) plays Rose Mason the scientist and oil company rep, a fresh face on-board the rig, while Martin Compston (Line of Duty, Traces) plays Communications Officer Fulmer Hamilton and Owen Teale (Game of Thrones, A Discovery of Witches) plays Head Driller Lars Hutton. All episodes arrive together.

On Call – 9th January

On Call is an adrenalized police drama that follows a rookie and veteran officer duo as they go on patrol in Long Beach, California. Shot with a mixture of hand-held cameras, bodycam and dash-cam footage, the innovative series explores the morality of protecting and serving a community. The series stars Troian Bellisario as veteran officer “Traci Harmon,” who struggles to find her place in the department while training the next generation of officers. Brandon Larracuent stars as “Alex Diaz,” an ambitious rookie who grapples with holding onto his optimistic outlook as he realizes the challenges he’ll face in today’s climate.

Unstoppable – 16th January

Unstoppable stars Jennifer Lopez, Jharrel Jerome, Bobby Cannavale, Don Cheadle, and Michael Peña and is produced by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s company, Artists Equity. Unstoppable tells the inspiring true story of a great athlete born who despite being born without a right leg, defies every expectation to become a national wrestling champion.

Molly-Mae: Behind It All – 17th January

Molly-Mae: Behind it All will take viewers beyond the headlines to uncover the real Molly-Mae, following her journey after her highly publicised break-up. We’ll see Molly-Mae adapt to the challenges of motherhood, all while preparing to launch her biggest business venture to date: ‘Maebe’. Episodes 1 to 3 arrive together, followed by three more episodes later in the spring.

Harlem: Season 3 – 23rd January

After a shocking Season Two finale cliffhanger that left audiences on the edge of their seats, the news is finally out that Harlem will return for Season Three at the top of next year on January 23, exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. From creator and writer Tracy Oliver (Girls Trip), Harlem will follow the core four women on the precipice of change like never before. Whether it be motherhood, singlehood, sisterhood, complicated career journeys, or even more complicated families, our stylish and ambitious best girlfriends strive to finally choose themselves above all else.

Elevation – 28th January

A trio of post-apocalyptic survivors venture down below the safety of elevation 8000 ft. in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains, bent on finding a way to eliminate subterranean beasts that have all but wiped out mankind. Anthony Mackie stars.

You’re Cordially Invited – 30th January

When two weddings are accidentally booked on the same day at the same venue, each bridal party is challenged with preserving their family’s special moment while making the most of the unanticipated tight quarters. In a hilarious battle of determination and grit, the father of the bride (Will Ferrell) and sister of the other bride (Reese Witherspoon) chaotically go head-to-head as they stop at nothing to uphold an unforgettable celebration for their loved ones.
