It’s a month of expanding worlds this April on Disney+ UK, with The Handmaid’s Tale follow-up The Testaments arriving, along with a revival of Malcolm in the Middle and a solo outing for everyone’s favourite double-lightsaber-wielding villain, Darth Maul.

Here’s what’s coming soon to Disney+ UK in April 2026:

Secrets of the Bees – 1st April

National Geographic Explorer Bertie Gregory explores the extraordinary lives of bees — among the planet’s most important animals. Over three years, special cameras opened a rare window into a single hive, revealing their hidden world. With more than 20,000 bee species pollinating one-third of the world’s food, this series uncovers their astonishing architecture and intelligence, unlocking their secrets.

Pizza Movie – 3rd April

A shy college student and his reckless roommate set out on a simple mission to grab pizza, but after a strange dose of a mind-bending experimental drug, they’re thrust into a chaotic night of absurd encounters, wild hallucinations, and unexpected revelations that could change their lives forever. The film is produced by American High’s Jeremy Garelick and Will Phelps and All Things Comedy’s Billy Rosenberg. Jason Zaro, Molle DeBartolo and Max Butler are also producers. Gaten Matarazzo is an executive producer. The film is written and directed by Brian McElhaney & Nick Kocher.

Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord – 6th April

Created by Dave Filoni, and developed by Dave Filoni and Matt Michnovetz, the animated series follows the Sith leader, who first appears in Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace. Playing out in an era near the beginning of Emperor Palpatine’s reign, the series will chart Maul’s plotting to rebuild his criminal syndicate on Janix, a planet untouched by the Empire. There, he crosses paths with a disillusioned young Jedi Padawan who may just be the apprentice he is seeking to aid him in his relentless pursuit for revenge. Episodes 1 and 2 arrive together, followed by two episodes weekly until the finale on 4th May.

Inside Out Classic – 6th April

Watch as Joy, Anger, Sadness and the rest of the emotions from Inside Out join the Rangers and Capitals as they face-off from Riley’s Mind in the Inside Out Classic.

The Testaments – 8th April

Described as “an evolution of The Handmaid’s Tale”, the series is based on Margaret Atwood’s novel of the same name and is a dramatic coming-of-age story set in Gilead. The series follows young teens Agnes, dutiful and pious, and Daisy, a new arrival and convert from beyond Gilead’s borders. As they navigate the gilded halls of Aunt Lydia’s elite preparatory school for future wives, a place where obedience is instilled brutally and always with divine justification, their bond becomes the catalyst that will upend their past, their present, and their future. The drama stars Ann Dowd, Chase Infiniti. The first three episodes arrive together, followed by weekly episodes until the finale on 27th May.

Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair: Season 1 – 10th April

Twenty years have gone by, and Malcolm and his family have learned absolutely nothing. All 4 episodes arrive together.

Orangutan – 22nd April

Disneynature’s adorable new documentary is narrated by Josh Gad.
