What’s leaving Amazon Prime Video in April / May 2016?

While Netflix UK is seeing the majority of its Disney catalogue disappear in May 2016, Amazon Prime Video shows no sign of losing its House of Mouse collection just yet. But younger viewers may still be disappointed by what’s on the way out of Amazon’s subscription streaming door, as several notable kids’ TV shows plan to depart.
Super Why: Season 2 (Date TBC)
This series, designed for kids aged three to six, aims to give its audience the critical skills that they need to learn to read (and love to read), as recommended by the National Reading Panel. These skills include alphabet skills, word families, spelling, comprehension, and vocabulary.
In the Night Garden: Season 1 and 2 (Date TBC)
From language lessons to… whatever you describe this as. In the Night Garden is a magical show full of bizarre, colourful characters who tend to speak in endearingly unsettling gibberish. Get on board the Ninky Nonk and get ready to say hi to Macca Pacca and Iggle Piggle!
Betas: Season 1 (Date TBC)
While Amazon continues to improve its original line-up, with Mozart in the Jungle and Transparent both winning Golden Globes, the streaming services looks to be quietly nudging one of its first originals – Silicon Valley-set comedy, Betas – out of the door. (It won’t be missed.)
Caillou: Season 1 to 5 (Date TBC)
Caillou is a TV show that focuses not on fantasy adventures or strange new creatures but on the simply realities of what kids do in their day-to-day lives – but when you’re four, even the smallest mundane situation can feel big.
Yo Gabba Gabba: Season 2 and 4 (Date TBC)
This US kids’ show combines live action and puppets with music, as a bunch of toys – Muna, Toodee, Foofam, Plex, Brobee – come to life and play with their friend, DJ Lance Rock.
