Wuaki.tv has is teaming up with Fusion Media Sales to bolster its catalogue of indie films available to stream.
The Spanish company, which launched in the UK several years ago, has built up an impressive library of independent titles to buy and rent, through deals with Arrow and Icon Film Distribution.
Now, an agreement with Fusion Media Sales will add titles such as Grazing the Sky, which premiered at London’s Raindance Film Festival, My Skinny Sister, which screened at this year’s London Film Festival, and I Survived a Zombie Holocaust, which screened at last year’s FrightFest. Other international legacy titles to be added include Roseville and Irish flick Invoked.
“Our customers tell us that they love our selection of curated local independent movies as much as Hollywood movies,” says Simon Homent, European Content Director of Wuaki.tv. “We believe that Fusion Media Sales can be an important content provider to bring strong local content to our platform.”
Murray Dibbs, Managing Director of Fusion, adds: “We are really pleased to be launching our first titles with Wuaki.tv for the UK and Ireland from December. They have a great curated slate of independent films and with strong marketing campaigns that are really growing the service, bringing great content to UK audiences.”
