Wild Mountain Thyme set for April UK release

Wild Mountain Thyme will finally be available to watch online in the UK this April.
The film, based on the play Outside Mullingar by Oscar, Tony and Pulitzer Prize winning writer and director John Patrick Shanley (Doubt, Moonstruck), tells a love story between two lonely souls, played by Emily Blunt and Jamie Dornan. Passionate, determined and smart, Rosemary Muldoon (Blunt) has been in love with her neighbour Anthony Reilly (Dornan) since they were 10 years old. It seems that everyone in their farming community knows they were meant for each other — except Anthony.
Set against the backdrop of the Irish countryside – and filmed in County Mayo – the film co-stars Christopher Walken as Anthony’s father, Tony, and Jon Hamm as Adam, Tony’s wealthy American nephew.
The trailer caught the internet’s attention when it arrived online last year, thanks to the Irish accents and stereotypes on display. Now, after its US release in the winter, UK audiences finally have the chance to experience the movie for themselves, with the film available to rent online from 30th April. It will be released in cinemas in the Republic of Ireland later this summer.
