“Minions, fetch me my champagne.” “I don’t sound like that.” That’s the sound of Vanessa Hudgens – and Vanessa Hudgens – teaming up again for The Princess Switch 3, and a new trailer gives us a look at the third entry in Netflix’s festive franchise.

The original seasonal rom-com saw the former High School Musical star play Chicago baker Stacy, who was invited by the Royal Family of Belgravia to compete in an annual regal tournament. While there, she crossed paths with her lookalike, Margaret, the Duchess of Montenaro. With one week before Christmas, and with Margaret about to marry, they swapped places for the holiday season, so they each could taste the other person’s life. With Stacy boasting a handsome co-worker and Margaret’s fiance a dashing prince, there are no prizes for guessing what happened.

A sequel was swiftly greenlit, which saw Margaret unexpectedly inherit the throne to Montenaro and hit a rough patch with Kevin. And so it was up to her double, Stacy, to save the day before a new lookalike, Margaret’s party girl cousin Fiona (also Hudgens), could foil their plans.

The Princess Switch 3 sees Queen Margaret and Princess Stacy enlist the help of Fiona when a priceless relic is stolen. Fiona teams up with a dashing, mysterious man from her past to retrieve it, rekindling the sparks of a tantalizing Christmas romance and resulting in a very unexpected switch.

The film will be written Robin Bernheim and Megan Metzger, who penned the first two movies, and will again be directed by Mike Rohl, who is no stranger to festive flicks: he’s previously helmed the TV movies Miss Christmas and Love at First Bark. The film premieres on Netflix on 18th November. Here’s the trailer:
