Trailer: Netflix’s Unfrosted pops up this May

“I believe we have split the atom of breakfast.” That’s the sound of Netflix telling the story behind Pop Tarts in Unfrosted – and a new trailer gives us a first look at the film.
It begins in Michigan, 1963, when Kellogg’s and Post, sworn cereal rivals, race to create a baked good that will change the face of breakfast forever.
The movie is the feature directorial debut of Jerry Seinfeld from a script co-written by him and Spike Feresten, Andy Robin and Barry Marder. In front of the camera, Melissa McCarthy (God’s Favorite Idiot) stars alongside Jim Gaffigan (Linoleum), Amy Schumer (Life and Beth), James Marsden (Sonic 2), Seinfeld himself and Hugh Grant as Tony the Tiger.
A tale of ambition, betrayal, sugar, and menacing milkmen, Unfrosted pops on to Netflix on 3rd May. Here’s the trailer:

Melissa McCarthy is one of the many star names attached to star in Jerry Seinfeld’s first feature film, Netflix has announced.
Titled Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story, the film will tell the story of the beloved breakfast pastry. It begins in Michigan, 1963, when Kellogg’s and Post, sworn cereal rivals, race to create a baked good that will change the face of breakfast forever.
A tale of ambition, betrayal, sugar, and menacing milkmen, the film is directed by Seinfeld, with a script co-written by him and Spike Feresten, Andy Robin and Barry Marder. Seinfeld, Spike Feresten and Beau Bauman are producing, with Cherylanne Martin exec-producing alongside Robin and Marder
In front of the camera, meanwhile, is a buffet of star talent, with the comedy ensemble including Melissa McCarthy (God’s Favorite Idiot), Jim Gaffigan (Linoleum), Amy Schumer (Life and Beth) and Hugh Grant (The Undoing). Also starring are James Marsden (Sonic 2), Jack McBrayer (Hello, Jack! The Kindness Show), Tom Lennon (Reno 911!), Adrian Martinez (iGilbert), Bobby Moynihan (Saturday Night Live), Max Greenfield (The Neighborhood), Christian Slater (Dr. Death) and Sarah Cooper (Sarah Cooper: Everything’s Fine).
