The Witcherverse continues to expand at Netflix, with a new anime movie titled The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep set to arrive in 2024.
Set between Episodes 5 and 6 of The Witcher Season 1, the film is based on the short story A Little Sacrifice by The Witcher author Andrzej Sapkowski. Written by The Witcher series writers Mike Ostrowski and Rae Benjamin – and produced by The Witcher showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich – it follows Geralt of Rivia as he is hired to investigate a series of attacks in a seaside village and finds himself drawn into a centuries-old conflict between humans and merpeople.
The Witcher 3 voice actor Doug Cockle will voice Geralt, with the TV show stars Anya Chalotra and Joey Batey set to reprise their roles as Yennefer of Vengerberg and Jaskier. Christina Wren will voice new character Essi Daven. Kang Hei Chul, who served as a storyboard artist on the animated prequel The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, is the director.
The film will premiere on Netflix in late 2024. Here’s the trailer:
