“We like their food, their wine… but French cars can be a bit weird.” That’s the sound of Jeremy Clarkson hopping over the Channel for The Grand Tour’s latest special, Carnage a Trois.
Amazon Studios announced back in 2018 that it had entered into a new deal with the former Top Gear trio of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, plus producer Andy Wilman, to develop brand new TV shows with them individually, but also to stop The Grand Tour in its conventional form. Instead, the studio tent and race track were swapped for road trips, featuring the three menchildren trotting the globe for four episodes. The first, Seaman, aired in Christmas 2019, followed by another festive outing – The Massive Hunt – in 2020, and then a summer special called Lochdown. Now, the fourth is upon us: Carnage a Trois.
The special sees the trio answer a “very important” question: What’s going on with French cars? You can join them as they investigate the world of French cars from Friday 17th December, when the episode premieres on Amazon Prime Video. Here’s a trailer:
