Club de Cuervos returns this December for a second season.
Netflix’s first Spanish-language original series, created by Gaz Alazraki and Mike Lam, is a comedy set in the world of futbol.
When the patriarch of the prominent Iglesias family dies unexpectedly, his heirs engage in an outrageous battle to determine who will gain control of his beloved professional soccer team: The Cuervos of Nuevo Toledo.
Season 1 followed all the action off the field and in the locker rooms, as egos, tempers, insults and soccer balls fly between the party boy brother, the work obsessed sister, a (possibly) pregnant girlfriend, the beleaguered team captain and everyone else in between all enter the pitch, all vying to score a personal goal.
Club de Cuervos stars Luis Gerardo Méndez as Chava Iglesias and Mariana Trevino, as Isabel Iglesias Reina and features Stephanie Cayo, Daniel Gimenez Cacho, Ianis Guerrero and Antonio de la Vega.
Season 2 continues the game as the new President of the Cuervos of Nuevo Toledo soccer team faces tough challenges – not least from their own relatives trying to interfere with their plans.
All episodes of the new season are released on Friday 9th December. Here’s a trailer:
