For those excited about seeing Jesse Pinkman back on our screens in Breaking Bad movie El Camino, the good news is that you won’t have to wait long for another Aaron Paul fix. The Emmy winner will star in new Apple TV+ drama Truth Be Told alongside Oscar winner Octavia Spencer, and a new trailer gives us a first look at what’s in store.
The series was announced as part of Apple’s new subscription service launch this summer, making up one of the second wave of originals following the initial launch line-up that lands in November. The series explores America’s obsession with true crime podcasts and navigates urgent concerns about privacy, media and race.
Spencer plays podcaster Poppy Parnell, who became a national sensation off the back of a renowned murder case. When new evidence compels her to reopen the case, she comes face to face with Warren Cave (Aaron Paul), the man she may have mistakenly helped to put behind bars.
Truth Be Told is created by Nichelle Tramble Spellman and co-stars Lizzy Caplan, Elizabeth Perkins, Michael Beach, Mekhi Phifer, Tracie Thoms, Haneefah Wood and Ron Cephas Jones.
You can see them all in action on 6th December, when the series premieres on Apple TV+. The subscription streaming service launches on 1st November and costs £4.99 a month. For more on the platform’s launch and other Apple TV+ originals, click here. Otherwise, read on below for the trailer:
