Mark Duplass and Ray Romano are heading to Sundance this year with new Netflix comedy-drama Paddleton.
Duplass and Romano will play two misfit neighbours, who find themselves on an unexpected emotional journey when one of them is diagnosed with cancer. Going on a trip, their trek explores the friendship between two men who have avoided expressing their feelings through humour – and the titular game they made up. The film is directed by Alex Lehmann, who previously helmed the film Blue Jay, starring Mark Duplass, which was part of the Duplass brothers’ ongoing deal with Netflix. Lehmann co-wrote the move with Duplass, and has assembled a cast that includes Ravi Patel and Christine Woods.
Paddleton premieres at Sundance on 1st February, before Netflix releases it worldwide on 22nd February. Here’s the trailer:
Paddleton is available on Netflix UK, as part of an £9.99 monthly subscription.
