Trailer: The World According to Jeff Goldblum Season 2 set for November debut

Disney+ will once again enter The World According to Jeff Goldblum this November, and a new trailer gives us a first look at the programme’s second season.
From National Geographic and produced by Jane Root’s Nutopi, the documentary series once again sees Jeff back and as curious as ever. The Jurassic Park star is a playful and inquisitive guide to uncovering more surprising secrets about seemingly familiar topics. In each new episode, Jeff’s insatiable appetite for learning and sense of wonderment take him from coast to coast to meet with passionate fans, experts and scientists, to gain a deeper understanding of how ordinary objects are extraordinary.
Season 1 covered such topics as sneakers, denim, ice cream, cosmetics, pools, bikes, RVs, gaming, jewelry, BBQ and coffee. In Season 2, Jeff meets with legendary magicians Penn & Teller to discover the real secrets of magic; experiences mind-bending reality with viral star Zach King; meets with two-time Oscar-winning animator Phil Tippet, who is known for his work on Star Wars and Jurassic Park; ventures to the dark, mysterious woods of Northern California to search for Bigfoot; meets with Atlanta influencers Collab Crib; and has a dance-off with a sea lion to discover the secret language of dance.
The first five episodes will be available to stream on Disney+ on Friday 12th November, as part of what it’s calling Disney+ Day. The five remaining episodes from Season 2 will arrive on Disney+ in early 2022. two will be available to stream on Disney+ early next year. Magic

Fireworks

Jeff discovers the frightening truth behind why we love to be scared and meets master monster-maker Phil Tippet in his legendary studio before embarking on a monster hunt in the Big Foot forests among the California redwoods.
Dogs
From a wild ride with a pack of huskies and a family of urban mushers to the weird and wonderful world of Instagram dogs to a puppy pile-on with a squad of trainee service dogs, Jeff meets every kind of working dog imaginable and gets to the heart of why dogs mean so much to us.
Dance
Jeff does a grand jeté into the world of dance. From spinning in a roller disco to entertaining a dance battle, Jeff uncovers the reason we can’t resist moving and shaking to a sweet melody.
Disney+ renews The World According to Jeff Goldblum for Season 2

Disney wants to keep seeing the world through Jeff Goldblum’s eyes, with a second season of his Disney+ series officially on the way.
The World According to Jeff Goldblum was one of the launch titles for the House of Mouse’s subscription service. The documentary series sees theactor and jazz musician purr his way through all manner of subjects, from sneakers and denim to ice cream and jewellery. Along the way, he presents discussions and insights into tattoos and synchronised swimming, while Jeff will take part in canoeing, cycling, basketball and more, all the while talking to anyone he can about Notting Hill, Korean BBQs and seagull noises – or just breaking out into a song and dance.
The show is about to reach its Season 1 finale on 24th January, but Disney+ has already ordered a second season. The announcement was made by National Geographic Global Television Networks president Courteney Monroe during the TCA winter press tour this week. The second run will comprise 10 episodes, down from Season 1’s 12 episodes.
“Jeff has captured the imagination and curiosity of our audience with his distinct perspective and illuminating adventures,” Ricky Strauss, president, Content & Marketing, Disney+, said in a statement. “We can’t wait to see where Jeff and our partners at National Geographic take us.”
National Geographic is one of the five branded groups on Disney’s streaming platform, alongside Marvel, Star Wars, Disney and Pixar. The series is produced by Nutopia, with Jane Root and Arif Nurmohamed executive producing alongside Goldblum and Keith Addis.
Disney+ will launch in the UK on 31st March.

“This show is a little off the beaten track… Taste it and enjoy!” That’s Jeff Goldblum introducing his new Disney+ series The World According to Jeff Goldblum.
The unscripted documentary series promises to show us the world through the eyes of the actor and jazz musician, who will purr his way through all manner of subjects, from sneakers and denim to ice cream and jewellery. Along the way, we’ll get discussions and insights into tattoos and synchronised swimming, while Jeff will take part in canoeing, cycling, basketball and more, all the while talking to anyone he can about Notting Hill, Korean BBQs and seagull noises – or just breaking out into a song and dance.
He’s not here to be professorial, he promises in the trailer: “I know nothing, that’s the premise.”
Produced by National Geographic, the series will be available on Disney+ when it launches on 12th November in the US – but, at present, not in the UK. Whether it will be available via existing UK subscription service DisneyLife or even Sky, which has a deal with Disney in the UK, is not yet clear.
