Bosch is back this April, with a fifth season of Amazon’s detective drama.
Based on Michael Connelly’s best-selling novels, the series is Amazon Prime Video’s longest-running original series and stars Titus Welliver (Lost) stars as homicide Detective Harry Bosch – alongside Jamie Hector (The Wire) as Jerry Edgar, Amy Aquino (Being Human) as Lt. Grace Billets, Madison Lintz (The Walking Dead) as Maddie Bosch and Lance Reddick (The Wire) as Deputy Chief Irvin Irving.
Season 4 was hailed as the “best Bosch yet” in our review last year. It wasn’t long until Amazon ordered a fifth season, with the commission coming just days before its fourth run premiered, and a sixth season has already been given the greenlight.
Season 5 will see the familiar ensemble joined by Billy Lush (Kingdom) and Juliet Landau (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) in important recurring roles. It catches up with Bosch 15 months after bringing his mother’s killer to justice, as he finds himself seeking the truth on two fronts. New evidence in an old case leaves everyone wondering whether Bosch planted evidence to convict the wrong guy. And a murder at a Hollywood pharmacy exposes a sophisticated opioid pill mill, sending Bosch down a dark and perilous path in pursuit of the killers.
Season 5 premieres on Friday 19th April. Here’s the trailer:
