Trailer: The Mosquito Coast returns for Season 2

Apple TV+ is going back to the Mosquito Coast this November, and a new trailer gives us a first look at Season 2.
Based on Paul Theroux’s best-selling novel, the thriller follows the dangerous journey of Allie Fox, a brilliant inventor and stubborn idealist, who uproots his family on a dangerous quest to find refuge from the U.S. government, cartels and hitmen. In Season 2, the Foxes venture deep into the Guatemalan jungle to meet up with an old friend and her community of refugees. This new refuge creates trouble for the Foxes though when they become entangled in a conflict between a local drug lord and his family. At odds about whether to settle down or keep moving, Allie and Margot pursue different paths to secure their family’s future. The outcome will either unite the family or tear it apart forever.
Season 2 is executive produced by Mark V Olsen and Will Scheffer, Stefan Schwartz, Evan Katz, Rupert Wyatt, author Paul Theroux and series star Justin Theroux. Bob Bookman, Alan Gasmer and Peter Jaysen serve as executive producers for Veritas Entertainment Group. The series is created for television and executive produced by Neil Cross.
The show returns to Apple TV+ on 4th November, with each of the 10 episodes arriving weekly until the finale on 6th January.

Apple TV+ will take a trip to The Mosquito Coast this April, and a new trailer gives us a first look at the drama.
Based on Paul Theroux’s best selling novel, The Mosquito Coast follows the dangerous journey of a radical idealist and brilliant inventor, Allie Fox, who uproots his family for Mexico when they suddenly find themselves on the run from the US government.
Adapted by award-winning novelist Neil Cross, the seven-episode series stars Justin Theroux, Melissa George, Logan Polish and Gabriel Bateman. It is a Fremantle Production for Apple TV+. Executive producing are Rupert Wyatt, who directs the first two episodes, author Paul Theroux, star Justin Theroux and Edward L McDonnell. Alan Gasmer, Peter Jaysen and Bob Bookman also serve as executive producers for Veritas Entertainment Group.
The series will premiere globally with the first two episodes on Friday 30th April, with new episodes arriving weekly. Here’s the trailer:
Mosquito Coast: Apple orders new drama from Neil Cross

Apple TV+ is teaming up with Neil Cross for new drama Mosquito Coast.
The Luther creator has been given the green light by the tech giant’s subscription streaming service to adapt the 1981 novel of the same name by Paul Theroux.
The series will see a rather fitting actor take the lead: Justin Theroux, star of The Leftovers and Paul’s nephew. Theroux is no stranger to the streaming world, having also starred in Netflix’s Maniac and voiced Tramp in Disney+’s upcoming Lady & the Tramp reboot.
He will play an idealist who uproots his family to Latin America.
Cross is showrunner and has written the first episode with Tom Bissell. Rupert Wyatt (Rise of the Planet of the Apes) will executive produce and direct the first episode, as well as several others throughout the season.
The series is produced by Fremantle and Veritas Entertainment Group, with Alan Gasmer, Peter Jaysen and Bob Bookman executive producing, along with Ed McDonnell.
