The Walking Dead Season 4 poster and synopsis revealed

The Walking Dead Season Four poster has been revealed and – surprise, surprise – it has Andrew Lincoln on it. That could be considered a spoiler for those only just starting to watch The Walking Dead on Amazon Prime, but let’s be honest: did you really think they would kill off the lead hero, especially one played by such a good actor?
We’re just pleased he doesn’t have that silly hat anymore.
The official synopsis follows in magic (read: white) writing. You may want to skip this bit for spoilers…
“In the highly anticipated new season, we find Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and the group fostering a thriving community in the safe haven of the prison. Sadly, in this brutal world, happiness is short-lived and walkers and outside threats are no match for danger brewing inside the fences. The group’s home and new way of life will be thoroughly tested, and their struggle to survive has never been so perilous.”
The season premieres on AMC on Sunday 13th October, two weeks after Season 3 is released on DVD and VOD in the UK. Season One is currently available to subscribers on Amazon Prime, along with Season 3 and Season 3.
The acquisition of the rights to Frank Darabont’s zombie show was something of a coup for the online retailer: in the US, Netflix owns the streaming rights and AMC and Netflix have seen great UK success this year with both Breaking Bad and The Killing Season 3 available to UK users within 24 hours of their US broadcast.
