Watch: New clip for The Mandalorian Season 3

“I thought you had completed your mission…” That’s the sound of The Mandalorian returning for Season 3, as a new clip gives us an insight into the limbo the bounty hunter finds himself in.
Set after the fall of the Empire in Episode VI, the Star Wars series follows the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic. Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones) plays the eponymous bounty hunter, with the cast also including Carl Weathers as Greef Karga and Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon, not to mention Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano, Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan Kryze and Temuera Morrison as Boba Fett.
Season 3 continues the bounty hunter’s journeys with Grogu, after completing his quest to reunite the youngling with his own kind at the end of Season 2. What happened since was depicted in an episode of the underwhelming spin-off The Book of Boba Fett, as Disney+ continues its aim of interconnecting its projects that exist within the same franchise and universe. If that leaves viewers in awkward spot of working out what to do, at least that means Mando isn’t the only one.
Season 3 premieres on 1st March. Here’s the new video:

“Our people are scattered, like stars in the galaxy…” That’s the starting point for Season 3 of The Mandalorian, and a new trailer gives us a closer look at the show’s return to Disney+ this March.
Season 3 continues the bounty hunter’s journeys with Grogu, while the New Republic struggles to lead the galaxy away from its dark history. The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies and, from Bo-Katan on the throne of Mandalore to a battalion of Mandalorian warriors assembling, the show looks to ask what it means to be a Mandalorian as our hero questions what he stands for.

Trailer: The Mandalorian Season 3 set for March debut
4th December 2022
Season 3 of The Mandalorian will premiere on 1st March, Disney has announced.
During CCXP, the Comic Con Experience in Brazil, creator Jon Favreau, executive producer Dave Filoni and Pascal confirmed that the third chapter would begin on Disney+ on 1st March 2023, continuing to follow the adventures of the masked warrior and his Force-sensitive charge.
The first teaser for the new season dropped at D23 earlier this year, with a glimpse at Bo-Katan Kryze on the throne of Mandalore, the return of Greef Karga and Peli Motto, and a battalion of Mandalorian warriors. Now, a new trailer gives us another tease of what’s in store.

“You are a Mandalorian no more.” Those are the words that herald the return of The Mandalorian to Disney+ – and a new teaser trailer gives us a first look at Season 3.
Season 3 was in the works before Season 2 had arrived on our screens, with Pedro Pascal reprising his role as the bounty hunter in Boba Fett’s solo spin-off series. Now, we begin to see the consequences of both Season 2 and the Boba Fett series, with The Mandalorian putting Grogu’s safety above all other priorities and loyalties – something that puts tension between him and Bo-Katan, which will take centre-stage of Season 3, and also makes him and Baby Yoda a lone clan of 2.
Season 3 will premiere on Disney+ in 2023. Here’s a trailer:
Christopher Lloyd joins cast for The Mandalorian Season 3
19th March 2022
Christopher Lloyd has joined the cast of The Mandalorian for its third season.
Season 3 was in the works even before Season 2 had debuted on Disney+, but not much has been heard about it recently, with Disney+ shifting its focus to Morrison’s Boba Fett for his recent spin-off, The Book of Boba Fett – not to mention the upcoming solo outing for Obi-Wan Kenobi, featuring Ewan McGregor reprising his role of the Jedi.
Now, though, we’ve got our first notable update on The Mandalorian’s third chapter, with Christopher Lloyd joining the cast. Lloyd no stranger to sci-fi, having played everything from Dr Emmett Brown in Back to the Future to a Klingon in Star Trek III. There’s no word yet on who he’ll play, although THR reports that it will be a guest star role.
Production on Season 3 is currently underway, after filming started last year.
The Mandalorian Season 3 in the works at Disney+
23rd April 2020
Work is already underway on Season 3 of The Mandalorian at Disney+.
Set after the fall of the Empire in Episode VI, long after the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, it follows the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.
Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones) plays the eponymous bounty hunter on a mission to collect a particularly difficult prize. The cast also includes Werner Herzog, Nick Nolte and Gina Carano, as well as Carl Weathers and Giancarlo Esposito – and, of course, one Baby Yoda.
The pairing of Pascal and Baby Yoda in particular has seen the show skyrocket to pop culture sensation status.
“This rough and ready sci-fi Western is the best thing to happen to Star Wars since Luke found out who his father was,” we wrote in our review of Season 1.
It was no surprise, then, when it turned out that it had swiftly been commissioned for a second season. The release date of that is still expected to be October, with production already wrapped on the sophomore run before the coronavirus outbreak. Now, though, creator Jon Favreau is already work on pre-production for a third run.
Variety reports that Favreau has been writing Season 3 “for a while”, with the art department working on concepts for the “past few weeks”.
The news comes as Rosario Dawson has been recently confirmed as joining Season 2, possibly playing Clone Wars character Ahsoka Tano. Season 1, meanwhile, continues to drop new episodes weekly on Fridays in the UK.
