Trailer: Robert Pattinson and Tom Holland star in Netflix’s The Devil All the Time

Some people are born to be buried. That’s the takeaway from The Devil All the Time, Netflix’s new film, and a new trailer gives us a first look at the star-studded thriller.
In Knockemstiff, Ohio and its neighbouring backwoods, sinister characters — an unholy preacher (Robert Pattinson), twisted couple (Jason Clarke and Riley Keough), and crooked sheriff (Sebastian Stan) — converge around young Arvin Russell (Tom Holland) as he fights the evil forces that threaten him and his family. Spanning the time between World War II and the Vietnam war, the film is based on Donald Ray Pollock’s award-winning novel.
Behind the camera is director Antonio Campos, while the cast also includes Bill Skarsgård, Mia Wasikowska, Harry Melling, Haley Bennett and Pokey LaFarge. You can see them all in action on 16th September.

Netflix’s star-studded drama The Devil All the Time arrives this September, and we’ve got our first look at the impressive cast in action.
The film, based on Donald Ray Pollock’s 2011 novel by the same name, takes place in Knockemstiff, Ohio, a forgotten backwoods where a storm of faith, violence and redemption brews.
Out of desperation to save his dying wife, Willard Russell turns to prayer which succumbs to sacrifice. This sets the protagonist, Arvin, Willard’s son, on his path from bullied kid to a man who knows when to take action.
Directed by Christine helmer Antonio Campos, it stars Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Jason Clark, Riley Keough, Bill Skarsgård, Sebastian Stan, Haley Bennett, Mia Wasikowska, and Eliza Scanlen. Christine director Antonio Campos is at the helm and has co-written the film with Paulo Campos. But the star attraction is undoubtedly in front of the camera, with the cast including Tom Holland, Bill Skarsgard, Riley Keough, Jason Clarke, Sebastian Stan, Robert Pattinson, Haley Bennett, Mia Wasikowska, Eliza Scanlen, Harry Melling and Pokey LaFarge.

Harry Melling joins Netflix’s The Devil All the Time

Harry Melling has joined the cast of Netflix’s Western The Devil All the Time.
Melling, who has impressed opposite Frank Langella, John Simm and Simon Russell Beale in London’s West End, most recently appeared in another Netflix project, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs. He starred alongside Liam Neeson in the Meal Ticket chapter of the Coen brothers’ Western.
Now, he’s heading back to the Wild West again for Antonio Campos’ thriller. The film, based on Donald Ray Pollock’s 2011 novel by the same name, already has a star-studded cast, with an ensemble that includes Tom Holland (Spider-Man: Homecoming, Avengers: Infinity War, The Impossible), Mia Wasikowska (Alice in Wonderland, Jane Eyre, Crimson Peak), Bill Skarsgard (It, Castle Rock), Eliza Scanlen (Sharp Objects, Little Women), Tony Award Winner Gabriel Ebert (Ricki and the Flash), Robert Pattinson, Sebastian Stan (replacing Chris Evans), Riley Keough (Hold the Dark), Jason Clarke (Mudbound) and Haley Bennett (The Girl on the Train).

Riley Keough and Jason Clarke have become the latest impressive names to join Netflix’s The Devil All the Time, reports Deadline.
The Gothic Western, based on Donald Ray Pollock’s 2011 novel by the same name, already has a star-studded cast, with an ensemble that includes Tom Holland (Spider-Man: Homecoming, Avengers: Infinity War, The Impossible), Mia Wasikowska (Alice in Wonderland, Jane Eyre, Crimson Peak), Bill Skarsgard (It, Castle Rock), Eliza Scanlen (Sharp Objects, Little Women) and Tony Award Winner Gabriel Ebert (Ricki and the Flash). They’re led by Robert Pattinson and Sebastian Stan, who recently stepped into Chris Evans’ shoes, after he dropped out due to scheduling conflicts.
Now, that cast just got a bit more star wattage, with Riley Keough (Hold the Dark), Jason Clarke (Mudbound) and Haley Bennett (The Girl on the Train) all joining the production.

Sebastian Stan replaces Chris Evans in Netflix’s Devil All the Time

Sebastian Stan is stepping into Chris Evans’ shoes on The Devil All the Time, Netflix’s latest original film.
The movie, which was announced at the start of the year, a Gothic Western based on Donald Ray Pollock’s 2011 novel by the same name. The film is set in a place called Knockemstiff, Ohio, a forgotten backwoods of this country – where a storm of faith, violence and redemption brews. Out of desperation to save his dying wife, Willard Russell turns to prayer which succumbs to sacrifice. This sets our protagonist, Arvin, Willard’s son, on his path from bullied kid to a man who knows when to take action.
The film is directed by Antonio Campos (The Sinner, Christine), who co-wrote the script with Paulo Campos, and was set to star Evans alongside Robert Pattinson. Now, Evans has had to step down due to a crowded schedule, reports Deadline. Indeed, Evans has just signed onto Antoine Fuqua’s tentpole at Paramount, Infinite, and about to start production on Apple series Defending Jacob, which he’s producing as well as starring in.
Now, Stan has stepped in to replace his Avengers co-star. It builds on increasingly high-profile roles for the actor, including Destroyer and I, Tonya. He joins an impressive ensemble that also includes Tom Holland (Spider-Man: Homecoming, Avengers: Infinity War, The Impossible), Mia Wasikowska (Alice in Wonderland, Jane Eyre, Crimson Peak), Bill Skarsgard (It, Castle Rock), Eliza Scanlen (Sharp Objects, Little Women) and Tony Award Winner Gabriel Ebert (Ricki and the Flash).

Hot on the heels of The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, Netflix is riding back into Western territory, and it’s got one heck of a cast assembled to do it. Chris Evans and Robert Pattinson will star in The Devil All the Time, a Gothic Western based on Donald Ray Pollock’s 2011 novel by the same name.
The film is set in a place called Knockemstiff, Ohio, a forgotten backwoods of this country – where a storm of faith, violence and redemption brews. Out of desperation to save his dying wife, Willard Russell turns to prayer which succumbs to sacrifice. This sets our protagonist, Arvin, Willard’s son, on his path from bullied kid to a man who knows when to take action. A “mid-western” tale, it involves a nefarious cast of characters: a serial killer couple, a faith-testing preacher, and a corrupt local sheriff in a story that is told across two decades.
