Taskmaster Season 12 unveils September air date
James R | On 10, Sep 2021
Taskmaster is officially only a matter of weeks away, with Season 12 officially set to make its debut this month.
Once again, the show will see a host of comedy minds sign up for a fresh round of surreal challenges, placing themselves under the scrutiny of Taskmaster Greg Davies and the watchful eye of his obedient assistant Little Alex Horne.
The five brave candidates limbering up for an assault course of absurdity are: comedian, writer, and actor Alan Davies (QI); comedian, writer and actor Desiree Burch (Live At The Apollo); BAFTA nominated comedian Guz Khan (Man Like Mobeen); BAFTA winning impressionist and actor Morgana Robinson (The Morgana Show); and writer, presenter and professional poker player Victoria Coren Mitchell (Only Connect).
“The programme proved to be just the distraction we need given everything going on in the world right now,” we wrote in our review of Season 11.
Prepare for more distraction on 23rd September, when the series premieres at 9pm on Channel 4. Episodes will air weekly and then be available on All 4.
Taskmaster announces Season 12 line-up
21st May 2021
While our ears are still ringing with the laughter of another heroically fought tournament, Taskmaster is already looking ahead to its next contest of silliness, with another star-studded line-up confirmed for Season 12.
This quintet eagerly await their chance to impress the Taskmaster who will deliver his merciless verdicts on their efforts before administering points and awarding the ultimate prize in entertainment, and all time – a gold representation of his own head. As ever, Greg’s right-hand man and stats keeper, Alex Horne, will be diligently taking notes, recording times and offering very little assistance.
It follows Season 11’s line-up of Charlotte Ritchie (Ghosts, BBC One), Jamali Maddix (Hate Thy Neighbour, Vice), Lee Mack (Not Going Out, BBC One), Sarah Kendall (Frayed, Sky One) and now-official national treasure Mike Wozniak (Man Down, Channel 4), as well as a festive special last Christmas.
Season 12 will air later this year.
