Netflix renews Rhythm + Flow for Season 2

Netflix has ordered a second season of Rhythm + Flow, as the streamer doubles down on the first season’s success.
Hosted by Cardi B, Chance the Rapper and Tip “T.I.” Harris, the music competition series charted the battle to find hip-hop’s best, undiscovered talent from Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles and New York City.
Released over three weeks with 10 episodes in total, not unlike Love Is Blind’s release, the show was produced by John Legend, Jeff Gaspin, Jesse Collins, Nikki Boella, Jeff Pollack, Mike Jackson, and Ty Stiklorius. Who will scrap their way to the top for a shot at the shine? The three global superstars searched for raw talent and upcoming artists, with established rappers from each city joining them as guest judges.
Now, the trio are set to return to again hunt for the next hip-hop next sensation. The show’s renewal was announced at the same time as Love Is Blind, which has been renewed for two more seasons, as Netflix continues to push into unscripted territory.
“It’s been incredible to see Netflix members everywhere respond to the raw, authentic stories of real people and real stakes,” says Brandon Riegg, Netflix Vice President of Nonfiction Series and Comedy Specials. “We pride ourselves on creating a favorite show for any taste, and we’re thrilled fans embraced all of these series with such enthusiasm and shared passion. We look forward to sparking more joy for our members.”
Auditions are now open at RhythmAndFlow.com.
