Netflix has renewed The House of Flowers for a second and third season.
The satirical comedy, created by Manolo Caro, sees the seemingly perfect family, which runs a flower shop, face the dark secrets uncovered by the sudden death of the patriarch’s mistress, Roberta. Oh, and learning that their flower shop shares its name with a cabaret that was secretly owned by the father of the family.
The show explores the need to protect and forgive loved ones, no matter how uncomfortable, and stars a host of Mexican talent, including Veronica Castro (The Rich Also Cry, Rosa Salvaje), Aislinn Derbez (A La Mala, Win It All) and Cecilia Suarez (Capadocia, Tales of an Immoral Couple).
The show premiered earlier this summer, but has clearly struck a note with subscribers: within weeks of its release, Netflix has not only ordered a second season, but a third too. Watch the video announcing the renewal here:

Netflix has commissioned an original series from Mexican filmmaker Manolo Caro.
Caro, whose previous work includes Tales of an Inmoral Couple, Elvira I’ll Give You My Life But I’m Using It, Love of My Loves, I Don’t Know Whether to Slit My Veins or Leave Them Long, will write and direct the dark comedy, which will be released across all 190 Netflix territories.

The series explores the need to protect and forgive loved ones, no matter how uncomfortable.
“I really wanted to work with Netflix which comes along with great responsibility as it represents international exposure for the entire team. I am happy to take on this challenge as I will have the opportunity to enjoy the unconditional support and creative freedom needed to tell this great story,” says Caro.
