Netflix is getting into the vampire game this October with the new trailer for its thriller Night Teeth.
Benny’s entire world is turned upside down after picking up two mysterious girls who expose him to a secret world he never knew existed. He is suddenly hurled into their cryptic underworld on a mission to save his city from dripping in blood.
The film follows college student Benny (Jorge Lendeborg, Jr), who moonlights as a chauffeur for one night to make some easy money. His task: drive two mysterious young women (Debby Ryan and Lucy Fry) around Los Angeles for a night of party hopping. Taken captive by his clients’ charm, he soon learns that his passengers have their own plans for him – and an insatiable thirst for blood.
As his night spins out of control, Benny is thrust into the middle of a clandestine war that pits rival tribes of vampires against the protectors of the human world, led by his brother (Raúl Castillo), who will stop at nothing to send them back into the shadows. With sunrise fast approaching, Benny is forced to choose between fear and temptation if he wants to stay alive and save the City of Angels.
Directed by Adam Randall (iBoy) and written by Brent Dillon, the film stars Sydney Sweeney, Megan Fox, Alexander Ludwig and Alfie Allen. You can see them in action on 20th October, when the film premieres on Netflix. Here’s the trailer:
Night Teeth is available on Netflix UK, as part of an £9.99 monthly subscription.
Alfie Allen to star in Netflix thriller Night Teeth
4th February 2020
Alfie Allen will star in Netflix thriller Night Teeth.
The movie, which was nabbed by Netflix last year, sees a young chauffeur pick up two mysterious women for a night of party-hopping across LA. But when his passengers reveal their true nature — and a dangerous underworld lurking in the shadows — he must fight to stay alive.
Adam Randall (iBoy, I See You) will directs from a script by Brent Dillon. Vincent Gatewood (Unique Features); Ben Pugh & Charlie Morrison (42) are producing, with Bob Shaye (Unique Features) and Erica Steinberg (42) exec-producing.
The picture is part of 42‘s multi-year first-look development, financing and production deal with Netflix. They are in pre-production on Outside The Wire starring Anthony Mackie, Damson Idris and Emily Beecham, and previously partnered on In the Shadow of the Moon.
Now, they’ve assembled a cast, with Thrones star Allen joined by Jorge Lendeborg Jr. (Bumble Bee, Spider-Man: Homecoming), Debby Ryan (Insatiable, Life of The Party), Lucy Fry (Bright, Waldo, Godfather of Harlem) and Raúl Castillo (Army of the Dead, We the Animals).
Principal photography on the movie began this week in New Orleans.
Netflix nabs thriller Night Teeth
6th August 2019
Netflix has nabbed new youth thriller Night Teeth.
The film is directed by Adam Randall, who most recently helmed I See You, which debuted at SXSW.
It unfolds over the course of one night and follows a young chauffeur in Los Angeles. What starts out as a typical job, though, soon takes on a genre twist, as he is hired to drive two young women to different parties. When they turn out to be not who they claim, he ends up in a fight for his life.
It is a co-production between Unique Features and 42, which is no stranger to Netflix: the company has a multi-year first-look deal with Netflix and is in pre-production on Outside the Wire, starring Anthony Mackie. It is also producing The English Game, a six-part series from Julian Fellowes that will premiere next year.
Night Teeth is written by Brent Dillon (Black Tide Beach), with Unique Features’ Vincent Gatewood and 42’s Ben Pugh & Charlie Morrison on board as producers. Unique’s Bob Shaye, the founder of New Line, is exec producing alongside 42’s Erica Steinberg.
Deadline broke the news of Netflix’s acquisition.
