Netflix is continuing to expand its 365 Days franchise this month with the release of 365 Days: This Day – and a new trailer offers a first look at the sequel.
The drama, which follows Laura (Anna-Maria Sieklucka) and mob boss Massimo (Michele Morrone), was in the daily Top 10 list on Netflix in more than 90 countries around the world and it was the fourth most-searched-for film on Google globally in 2020. At the same time, however, the film was criticised for glamourising abuse and presenting it as steamy entertainment.
Nonetheless, 365 Days: This Day will see Laura and Massimo back on screens for a second film, once again based on the trilogy of novels by Blanka Lipinska. Directed by Barbara Białowąs and Tomasz Mandes, and co-written by Lipinska, Mandes and Mojca Tirs, the second film appears to be taking the reception of the first film on board, with Laura described as going through a transformation that brings a change in her relationship.
365 Days: This Day will see the couple navigate jealousy and betrayal as their new beginning is complicated by Massimo’s family ties and a mysterious man, Nacho (Simone Susinna), who enters Laura’s life to win her heart and trust. Returning faces will include Laura’s best friend and confidante, Olga (Magdalena Lamparska), and Don Massimo’s right-hand man, Domenico (Otar Saralidze).
“My hope is that the audience will understand and see Laura’s new independence and how her life is impacted by the decisions she makes,” said Lipinska in a statement about the sequel.
“This instalment goes much deeper and tells us more about the relationship between the lovers. She’s stronger in this sequel,” added Sieklucka.
You can find out whether they’re right on 27th April, when 365 Days Part 2 premieres on Netflix.

365 Days Part 2 & Part 3 see the return of cast Michele Morrone and Anna-Maria Sieklucka joined by Magdalena Lamparska and Otar Saralidze. Laura and Massimo are back and hotter than ever. But the couple’s new beginning is complicated by Massimo’s family ties and a mysterious man who enters Laura’s life to win her heart and trust, at any cost.
Simone Susinna joins the projects and will play new character Nacho.
Łukasz Kluskiewicz, Content Acquisition Manager of Netflix films for CEE & Poland, comments: “365 Days was one of our most popular films for our members in 2020. We’re working closely with Blanka Lipinska, the author of the 365 Days trilogy of books and writer of the film, to continue Laura and Massimo’s story on screen. Their journey together is full of many twists and turns as our characters continue to grow and learn more about themselves.”
Lipińska adds: “I’m hugely honoured that the remaining two parts of my 365 Days trilogy will be brought to life on screen by Netflix. I’m so excited to show fans of my novels all over the world this fresh look at the characters and to continue Laura and Massimo’s story.”
The directors are Barbara Białowąs and Tomasz Mandes, with Ewa Lewandowska & Tomasz Mandes (Ekipa) and Maciej Kawulski (Open Mind One) producing from a screenplay by Lipińska, Mojca Tirs and Tomasz Mandes.
Filming is underway in Poland and Italy and Part 2 is slated for release on Netflix globally in 2022.
