Mike Myers is getting his own Netflix series.
The Saturday Night Live veteran is a mainstay of the US comedy scene, after breaking through years ago on the sketch series with characters such as Wayne Campbell, and Sprockets host Dieter. Myers has since gone on to star in multiple films, including several franchises, not least of which are Wayne’s World (featuring Campbell) and the Shrek series, as well as Austin Powers and its subsequent sequels. He recently appears in Bohemian Rhapsody too, and has also guest starred in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglorious Basterds.
Now, he’s heading back to the small screen to focus on comedy characters, with an untitled project that will see him play multiple people.
“I love creating characters, and Netflix has given me a fantastic playground to play in,” says Myers.
The six-episode series will be executive produced by Myers, alongside John Lyons and Jason Weinberg. Mackenzie Cyr and Justin Capraro-Gentuso are also on board as Associate Producers.
