Mega Movie Week: Amazon, Apple TV, Google and more launch digital movie deals
David Farnor | On 20, Jan 2020
Mega Movie Week is back for second year from today, as a host of distributors and digital platforms team up to offer discounted prices for one week only.
The seven-day celebration, which runs from today until 26th January, is designed to encourage digital ownership, as DVD sales decline. With the future of physical media still a hot topic among cinephiles, Mega Movie Week is making a large number of movies accessible and affordable for those wanting to download and keep titles digitally.
Eight studios have united with 10 digital retailers for the event, with titles on offer from BBC Studios, Lionsgate, NBCUniversal, Paramount Home Entertainment, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Spirit Entertainment, StudioCanal and The Walt Disney Company, and available on Amazon Prime Video, the Apple TV app, BT TV Store, Chili, Google Play Store, Microsoft, PlayStation Store, Rakuten TV, Sky Store and Talk Talk TV.
They range from Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home to Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw and John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum, as well as Rocketman, Playmobil: The Movie and Horrible Histories The Movie: Rotten Romans.
We’ll be recommending films from the selection @VODzillaMag throughout the week – or head to your retailer of choice below (or megamovieweek.co.uk) to browse what’s available:
