Matt LeBlanc’s Man with a Plan heads to E4

Matt LeBlanc is heading back to our screens in a new sitcom, Man with a Plan.
The Friends and Episodes star recently became a mainstay on UK telly, after taking over from Chris Evans as the host of the BBC’s rebooted Top Gear. Now, he may have stepped out of that vehicle, but he’s still racing back into living rooms, with E4 snapping up the exclusive rights to new CBS comedy Man with a Plan.
The series follows a contractor who starts spending more time with his kids when his wife goes back to work. After hitting a rough patch with his construction business, Adam’s self-assured wife, Andi, has proposed they start a house-flipping business together along with his clueless brother, Don, and unlikely friend, Lowell. In the midst of all this, Adam also has to juggle his three children and deal with his bossy sister-in-law, Marcy, and his opinionated father, Joe, who enjoys giving him terrible advice about how to run his life. With Andi’s encouragement, Adam takes charge of his brood, lays down the law, and discovers he’s going to “nail” this job.
The deal with CBS Studios International also gives E4 the UK linear television premiere of Star Trek: Discovery. The series, which streams on CBS’ premium subscription service CBS All Access in the US, will launch on E4 alongside Man with a Plan in 2020.
According to Barry Chamberlain, President of Sales, CBS Studios International, “We’re excited to bring the linear television rights for Star Trek: Discovery to the international market and launch in the UK with our valued friends at Channel 4. This agreement features the best of both worlds — premium subscription content from a global franchise and a very popular network comedy from America’s Most-Watched Network. Channel 4 is already a licensee for several of our top-rated franchises, including The Good Fight and Charmed, and we are confident they will have continued success with Star Trek: Discovery and Man With A Plan.”
