John Boyega and Robert De Niro will star in The Formula, a new film for Netflix.

It will follow a Formula One racing prodigy who is forced to become a getaway driver to save the only family he has left.

The movie is written and directed by Gerard McMurray, who produced Fruitvale Station and The First Purge and is no stranger to Netflix, having also helmed Netflix original film Burning Sands.

McMurray will also produce the film via his recently formed production company, Buppie Productions, which will co-produce with Tribeca Productions, whose recent projects for Netflix include The Irishman, When They See Us and Quincy.

He’s already assembled an impressive cast with De Niro and Boyega attached. They’re also no strangers to Netflix, with De Niro starring in Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman and Boyega starring in Netflix film Imperial Dreams.

De Niro will also produce alongside Berry Welsh and Jane Rosenthal. The project came together under Jane Rosenthal and Berry Welsh’s overall deal with Netflix.
