Harry Styles and Emma Corrin are teaming up to star in Amazon’s My Policeman, and a new trailer gives us a proper glimpse of the duo in action.
Directed by Michael Grandage and adapted from Bethan Roberts’ book by Ron Nyswaner, the film follows three young people—policeman Tom (Harry Styles), teacher Marion (Emma Corrin), and museum curator Patrick (David Dawson)—as they embark on an emotional journey in 1950s Britain. Flashing forward to the 1990s, Tom (Linus Roache), Marion (Gina McKee), and Patrick (Rupert Everett) are still reeling with longing and regret, but now they have one last chance to repair the damage of the past.
A story of forbidden love and changing social conventions, it paints a portrait of three people caught up in the shifting tides of history, liberty, and forgiveness. The film will premiere in cinemas on 21st October, before hitting Amazon Prime Video worldwide on 4th November. Here’s the trailer:

Emma Corrin has joined the cast of Amazon Studios’ The Policeman.
Corrin, who has impressed in Pennyworth and Misbehaviour in recent years, was most recently seen in The Crown, delivering a star-making performance as Princess Diana. Just as she’s nominated for a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild award for her role in Season 4 of Netflix’s royal drama, she’s now been cast in My Policeman.
The film, written by Oscar-nominee Ron Nyswaner, is based on the 2012 novel by Bethan Roberts. It is in 1950s’ Brighton that Marion first catches sight of Tom. He teaches her to swim in the shadow of the pier and Marion is smitten – determined her love will be enough for them both. A few years later in Brighton Museum Patrick meets Tom. Patrick is besotted with Tom and opens his eyes to a glamorous, sophisticated new world. Tom is their policeman, and in this age it is safer for him to marry Marion. The two lovers must share him, until one of them breaks and three lives are destroyed.
Tony and Olivier Award winner Michael Grandage will direct the film, with Harry Styles already cast in the lead role. When the project was first announced, Lily James was also attached, but now, Corrin has been confirmed as co-starring opposite the Dunkirk actor.
