Happy Accidents, Betrayal & Greed: Netflix unveils trailer for Bob Ross documentary

How well do you know Bob Ross? That’s the question you’re left with after the cryptic trailer for Netflix’s new documentary about the painter.
With a keen appreciation for nature, and a kind and gentle demeanour, Ross encouraged everyone he met to embrace their creativity and believe in themselves, becoming a cultural phenomenon along the way. The man famously said that there were no mistakes – just happy accidents – and brought sheer delight to the world for decades.
But beyond the iconic hair, soothing voice and nostalgic paintings lies a mystery that many have yet to discover. Netflix promises to unveil it in Happy Accidents, Betrayal & Greed, its new documentary directed by Joshua Rofé. As for what exactly that is, well, Netflix isn’t telling, although its official logline for the film hints at a battle for his business empire that cast a shadow over his happy trees.
