Sam Worthington, Jean Reno, Jacob Batalon join Netflix’s Lift
Sam Worthington, Jean Reno and Jacob Batalon are among the latest star names to join the cast of Netflix’s Lift.
The film, which is directed by The Italian Job and The Negotiator helmer F Gary Gray, follows an international heist crew that are recruited to prevent a terrorist attack, and must pull off the heist on a plane mid-flight.
Kevin Hart, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Vincent D’Onofrio are already in the stacked cast, but now there’s some added star power in the ensemble, with Sam Worthington (Avatar), Jean Reno (Da 5 Bloods), Jacob Batalon (Spider-Man: No Way Home) and Burn Gorman (The Offer) joining the line-up.
It is written by Daniel Kunka and exec-produced by Gray, Brent O’Connor and Patricia Braga. The producers include Simon Kinberg and Audrey Chon for Genre Pictures, Matt Reeves and Adam Kassan for 6th & Idaho and Kevin Hart and Bryan Smiley for HartBeat Productions. The project falls under Hart and HartBeat Productions’ creative partnership with Netflix.
Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Vincent D’Onofrio join Netflix’s Lift

Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Loki, The Morning Show, Belle) and Vincent D’Onofrio (The Eyes of Tammy Faye, Godfather of Harlem, The Unforgivable) are heading to Netflix for action film Lift.
The film, which is directed by The Italian Job and The Negotiator helmer F Gary Gray, follows an international heist crew that are recruited to prevent a terrorist attack, and must pull off the heist on a plane mid-flight.
It is written by Daniel Kunka and exec-produced by Gray, Brent O’Connor and Patricia Braga. The producers include Simon Kinberg and Audrey Chon for Genre Pictures, Matt Reeves and Adam Kassan for 6th & Idaho and Kevin Hart and Bryan Smiley for HartBeat Productions. The project falls under Hart and HartBeat Productions’ creative partnership with Netflix, with the comedian and actor also set to star in the film.
Mbatha-Raw is no stranger to Netflix, having starred in Joe Swanberg’s anthology Easy for the streamer, while D’Onofrio is perhaps best known for his role of Kingpin in Marvel’s Daredevil series, which initially premiered on Netflix.
Also joining the cast are Úrsula Corberó (Money Heist, Snake Eyes), Billy Magnussen (No Time to Die, Game Night), Yun Jee Kim (The Last Empress), Viveik Kalra (Blinded by the Light) and Paul Anderson (Nightmare Alley, Peaky Blinders).
