Grimmfest goes online for Easter Horror Nights

Grimmfest is returning to our screens this April for its first Easter horror showcase, and it’s going online to share its cracking collection with audiences across the UK.
Running from 1st to 5th April, the five-day event will feature 14 feature films, 16 short films and 12 Q&As, with titles hailing from the US, Australia, Sweden, Spain, Russia, Korea and more, plus stars including Donald Sutherland (Don’t Look Now), Tyler Posey (Teen Wolf), Mena Suvari (American Beauty), Sergi Lopez (Pan’s Labyrinth) Shahab Hosseini (The Salesman), Lyrica Okano (Marvel’s Runaways), and Margaret Cho (All-American Girl). Three of the films will be world premieres, 2 of them international premieres, 5 European premieres and 14 UK premieres. Grimmfest is also teaming up with Arrow Video to preview two upcoming titles from the genre label and its new streaming service, Arrow.
Tickets cost £10 for each individual night – comprising both feature films, plus shorts and filmmaker Q&As – or a pass for the whole festival costs £38, which also includes exclusive access to Sleepless Beauty and Rendez-vous. The Arrow Presents double-bill will cost £13.90 (with 30% off for passholders) and the opening night double-bill costs £12.50 (with 30% off for passholders).
For each of the main evening double-bills, you have 4 hours to start watching and, once started, 8 hours to finish watching (before 6am the following morning). The Arrow Presents titles and passholder exclusives are available throughout the festival on-demand.

1st April
Shorts – Free
Four new horror short film premieres from Grimmfest alumni: #MEOWTOO from Fried Barry director Ryan Kruger, Don’t Go Outside, from Natasha Halevi, The Gloom from Limbo’s Dani Viquiera and Transfer from Tabula Rasa director Jonas Govaerts. Available free on-demand throughout the festival.

The Night
An Iranian couple living in the US become trapped inside a hotel when insidious events force them to face the secrets that have come between them, in a night that never ends. Tickets cost £13.90 (part of opening night double-bill).

The Barcelona Vampiress
In early 20th century Barcelona, little Teresa goes missing shocking the country. When police start investigating Enriqueta Martí, the “Vampiress of Raval”, they cover a much more sinister affair. Tickets cost £13.90 (part of opening night double-bill).

2nd April
Sleepless Beauty – Passholder Exclusive
A young woman, Mila, is kidnapped by a mysterious organization known as Recreation. Her abductors taunt her though a loudspeaker, and set strict rules: she cannot sleep and has to fulfil bizarre and violent tasks if she hopes to stay alive. At first, it looks like someone’s sick idea of entertainment but as the demands become more intense, Mila begins to realize that she is a pawn in a twisted and deadly psychological experiment.
