Grimmfest 2021: The online line-up and how it works
James R | On 05, Oct 2021
Grimmfest is back for another season of scares this October, and, after a year of horror at home, it’ll be back at the Odeon in Manchester for four days of horror.
Running from 7th to 10th October, the in-person event will kick off with the English premiere of Jim Cummings and PJ McCabe’s The Beta Test, but the festival will also take place online, with a virtual edition that will present a selection of spooky cinematic treats to stream in your living room.
The online event will run from 14th to 17th October, with 24 feature films streaming across the four days. The programme will be split into double-bills, beginning with Shudder’s Slapface and including everything from King Knight to Hotel Poseidon. It will be accompanied by four collections of short films. Each package will cost £10 to rent, with films launching daily throughout the event and available to stream from 1.30pm. The films will only be available for a limited window – and, once you begin watching, you have 12 hours to finish watching, even if that takes you outside the initial viewing window.
Powered by Eventive, the platform will support Apple TV, Fire TV, Roku and Chromecast, as well as Android devices (using the Chrome browser) and iOS devices (using the Safari browser). Book tickets here – and read on below for the full virtual line-up.
