Gillian Jacobs, Jimmi Simpson, Colman Domingo join The Twilight Zone Season 2

Gillian Jacobs, Jimmi Simpson and Colman Domingo are among the impressive names lining up for the second season of CBS’ The Twilight Zone reboot.
The series, which has been revived by exec-producer and host Jordan Peele, brings back the iconic sci-fi anthology for a host of spine-tingling, standalone morality tales with wicked twists – all updated for a new, socially conscious generation.
Despite Peele’s involvement, Daredevil’s Marco Ramirez on board as writer and showrunner, and a cast that includes Chris O’Dowd, Seth Rogen and Adam Scott, it has taken almost a year for Season 1 to find a UK TV Home, with SyFy debuting the show this February.
CBC All Access, CBS’ streaming platform, meanwhile, is already pressing ahead on the show’s sophomore run, signing up some star names for the series’ return. Billy Porter, Morena Baccarin, Jenna Elfman, Gillian Jacobs and Chris Meloni are among the first wave of names confirmed for the season, with another casting wave including style blogger Tavi Gevinson, Colman Domingo, Ethan Embry, Tony Hale, Abbie Hern, Sophia Macy, Joel McHale, Jimmi Simpson and Daniel Sunjata.
Get Out writer-director Jordan Peele will pen the episode Downtown, which features Baccarin, Domingo and Hale together. Win Rosenfeld is writing The Who of You, featuring Sunjata, Embry and Porter, while Alex Rubens is writing A Human Face, starring Elfman, Meloni and Gevinson. Glen Morgan is writing 8, which stars McHale, Heather Anne Campbell is writing Among The Untrodden, featuring Abbie Hern and Sophia Macy, and Emily C. Chang and Sara Amini are writing Meet in the Middle, starring Simpson and Jacobs.
The casting was announced back at the winter TCA press tour by Julie McNamara, Executive Vice President, Original Content, CBS All Access. Now, several weeks later, we have a confirmed date for when UK fans can tune in to catch up: the series will premiere on 25th February at 9pm on Syfy UK.
SyFy UK is available on Sky, Virgin Media, TalkTalk and BT TV. Don’t have pay-TV? You can also get it through contract-free streaming service NOW, which costs £8.99 a month and gives live and on-demand access to SyFy UK, FOX UK and a number of Sky channels, including Sky Atlantic and Sky Comedy, plus Sky Crime and Sky One.
The good news? For those keen to catch up quickly, the whole box set will be available on-demand on Sky and NOW from 25th February, so you can dive into The Twilight Zone headfirst. For more on Season 1, including the trailer, click here.
