Game of Thrones Season 6 is now available to download and own in the UK.
The show, which is based on George R.R. Martin’s bestselling novels, needs no introduction to fans, with millions around the world watching the show online every Monday for the past 10 weeks, from Sky customers to NOW subscribers and, in the US and other countries, HBO Now users.
Not got any of the above? The good news is that HBO doesn’t hang around these days: the DVD and Blu-ray might not be out for a year, but you can now download the whole 10 episodes of the sixth run legally to watch in digital HD without having to wait. Season 6 picks up events after the bloody conclusion of Season 5, with Daenerys facing a near-demise in Meereen, Cersei humiliated in King’s Landing and the Starks suffering more than ever. Revenge, though, is a dish best served cold – and winter has finally arrived.
The box set of the show is available from a range of digital, pay-per-view retailers, including Amazon Video, BT TV, Google Play, iTunes, Playstation Store, TalkTalk TV Store, Microsoft Store and Wuaki.tv. Prices are around £17.99 for SD and £23.99 for HD.
The full season purchase includes “Inside Game of Thrones – Visual Effects” and “Journey to Spain” and, for those downloading on iTunes, a “Dothraki Culture” featurette, looking back at their culture and history from the beginning of the series.
