“What if we could go anywhere we want in the whole galaxy?” That’s the question that kicks off Star Wars: Skeleton Crew – and a new trailer gives us a proper look at the Disney+ series.
Created by Spider-Man Homecoming director Jon Watts and writer Christopher Ford, the series is an Amblin-style coming-of-age adventure. Set in the era of the New Republic, the show follows a group of kids who stumble into a lost Jedi temple, and then into a strange and dangerous galaxy from which they have to find their way home, meeting unlikely allies and enemies along the way.
The central ensemble are Wim (Ravi Cabot-Conyers), Fern (Ryan Kiera Armstrong), KB (Kyriana Kratter), Neel (Robert Timothy Smith), and their motley crew: the droid SM-33 (voiced by Nick Frost), the decrepit first mate of the Onyx Cinder, and Jude Law as the mysterious and enigmatic Jod Na Nawood.
Directors include Jon Watts, David Lowery, the Daniels (Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert), Jake Schreier, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Lee Isaac Chung. The series will premiere on 3rd December. Here’s the trailer:
