Watch: New trailer for Pam & Tommy
James R | On 20, Jan 2022
There are just two weeks to go until Pam & Tommy debuts on Disney+ UK, and a new trailer gives us a new look at the drama.
Set in the Wild West early days of the Internet, Pam & Tommy is based on the incredible true story of the Pamela Anderson (Lily James, Yesterday) and Tommy Lee (Sebastian Stan, The Falcon & the Winter Soldier) sex tape. Stolen from the couple’s home by a disgruntled contractor (Seth Rogen, Long Shot), the video went from underground bootleg-VHS curiosity to full-blown cultural obsession when it hit the Web in 1997. A love story, crime caper and cautionary tale rolled into one, the eight-part original limited series explores the intersection of privacy, technology and celebrity, tracing the origins of our current reality TV Era to a stolen tape seen by millions but meant to have an audience of just two.
Pam & Tommy is executive produced by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver and Alex McAtee at Point Grey, and Megan Ellison, Sue Naegle and Ali Krug at Annapurna. The series is written by executive producers Rob Siegel and DV DeVincentis, and directed by executive producer Craig Gillespie. Dylan Sellers, Dave Franco, Chip Vucelich and Sarah Gubbins also serve as executive producers.
The series will premiere on Star, the adults-only section of Disney+ – which is protected by a PIN set up by any user accessing its mature content – with the first three episodes arriving on 2nd February. New episodes will then stream weekly.

Pam & Tommy will debut on Disney+ in the UK this February, and a new trailer gives us a glimpse of the series.
Set in the Wild West early days of the Internet, the drama is based on the incredible true story of the Pamela Anderson (Lily James) and Tommy Lee (Sebastian Stan) sex tape. A love story, crime caper and cautionary tale rolled into one, the eight-part original limited series explores the intersection of privacy, technology and celebrity, tracing the origins of our current Reality TV Era to a stolen tape seen by millions but meant to have an audience of just two.

First look: Lily James, Sebastian Stan, Seth Rogen in Hulu’s Pam & Tommy
8th May 2021
Lily James, Sebastian Stan and Seth Rogen will star in Pam & Tommy, a new Hulu series based on the scandal surrounding the sex tape of Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee – and new images posted on Twitter by Seth Rogen give us a first look at the star-studded cast in character.
Written and executive produced by Rob Siegel and DV DeVincentis, the eight-episode comedy stars Lily James as Pamela Anderson and Sebastian Stan as Tommy Lee. Seth Rogen will play the man who stole the infamous tape, with the rest of the cast including Taylor Schilling, Andrew Dice Clay, Pepi Sonuga, Spencer Granese and Mozhan Marnò.
Anderson sued video distributor Internet Entertainment Group over the tape, before the Lees reached a settlement over the matter. The company then began making the tape available to subscribers again online. While the series will focus on the tape, it will also explore their relationship going back to their 1995 marriage after only 96 hours of knowing each other.
I, Tonya helmer Craig Gillespie is directing. There is no word yet on when the show will debut – or, indeed, where it will find a home in the UK, with previous Hulu series heading to STARZPLAY (High Fidelity, Harlots), Channel 4 (The Handmaid’s Tale) and Amazon Prime Video (The Path) in the past. However, with Disney+ Star now live in the UK, the odds on the show debuting on the adult-friend section of Disney’s streaming service are high. Watch this space for confirmation of a UK air date and broadcaster when we have it.
